HEY FRIENDS

For @thepointau.bsky.social, I decided to do the unthinkable and just actually check whether Australia's gas exports are being a magical climate solution and displacing shittonnes of Asian coal

You know what I found, but you will enjoy me saying it:

Cricket Australia is the first Chump to evolve into a Champ and then revert back to a Chump again.

Dropped Alinta sponsorship 2023
New Origin sponsorship 2025

Global heating caused by fossil fuel companies like Origin will kill cricket.

This is sad. Vale their values.

Conservation Council SA's new campaign is Dump Santos. They are calling for the SA govt to end Santos's sponsorship of the Tour Down Under.

The Santos branded race will ride past areas affected by the algal bloom. Makes me mad.

Join and take action to Dump Santos

Alongside the Chumps list of fossil fuel sponsorships, I also keep a "Changers" list of groups campaigning against these.

Recently I added Front Runners & Conservation Council SA.

Check out the Changers list to support them and oppose fossil fuel greenwashing.

Big Tobacco no longer has a seat at the table at the World Health Organization. So, why should #BigOil have a say at #COP30?

It’s time to change the UNFCCC process so profit-driven polluters don’t continue to derail critical climate policy.

I learned Indonesian and I'm having fun imagining a wall inspired by Echols and Shadily.
Not earth shattering news, but I painted a wall. The binding of my old French dictionary was inspiration for the colour.

The success of Stop Woodside Monash @stopwoodsidemonash.bsky.social got me thinking about what fossil fuel partners should get dumped next. Top 5 coming up (let me know if you would choose differently!)

Woodside are climate criminals making obscene profits destroying the planet.

They contribute a tiny portion of their profits through philanthropy and this is part of how they justify their continued operation & destruction.

To stop them we need to stop working with them...

I've loved seeing the joy that the end of the Monash Woodside partnership has brought people.

Criticizing fossil fuel sponsorship can feel lonely, but it turns out, lots of people want their education & workplace free from climate criminals.

We can have nice things without them.

The Woodside Monash Partnership is over...there's some concern this may be permuted into a situationship through continued Woodside funding of research BUT overall a strong message that taking fossil fuel funding is NOT aligned with sustainability.

People LOVE this corrective action against a land-, ocean-Indigenous culture- & planet-destroying fossil fuel corp and I hope mainstream media puts out a big, illustrated story on it soon
It's just been confirmed that Monash University is dropping Woodside as a partner because they don't align with their sustainable values. This is an incredible win for @stopwoodsidemonash.bsky.social who have run a dedicated grass roots campaign for years.
