Lighting practice! Specifically working on hard shadows and setting the mood.

The same illustration, but here the light is dark and blue shadows envelop everything, like the sun is half-hidden behind the big dark clouds. Some few rays shining from directly behind the sign.

Again the same illustration but lit in a more green hue, with fog rolling across the meadow and hiding parts of themountains in the background.

Story development has been going very well! Here are the three main darlings. I love them, all of them are so weird.

posting some behind the scenes for a new story I'm working on!

A sort of sketched and loosely coloured roster of five characters. They all wear clothes in earthy tones and half of them look very fit to go into nature while half of them absolutely do not.

Two full body and coloured sketches of Apidos, wearing dark green-brown clothes and having a bow and arrows strapped to his back. And a small sketch of his eye and eye makeup, green below and in the outer corner of his eye. Kind of like an inverted eyeliner and slightly edgy.

Proper illustrations of Aoidos, still slightly sketched, but with a pleasing colour palette of earthy and more well balanced hues for his clothes. There are three of him, one is a closeup and a more realistic look at his face. He has almond eyes, a tan skin and a flat nose. His dark brown hair falls into his face. Two he is shown gesturing, a bow and arrows strapped to his back. Three is him very small and a full body look at him. Hair falls into his face in all of them, as part of his design.

I did it. After a lifetime of using light mode on all my devices, I switched to dark mode. My eyes just can’t take it anymore! So it was time to update my light mode art with a new version ~
