Indeed, the probability of detecting the animals from the car makes me think I should go and buy a lottery ticket!☺️
Had an incredible sighting off Nanao Island Shantou, China of humpback dolphins. There are only 12 left of the local population and we spotted a group of 6 while driving! We stopped the car, caused minor traffic chaos but managed to get some photos including id's! My first car based survey!
In China invited by Shantou University attending the Pacific Science Congress and to build collaboration for marine megafauna research & conservation.
