I miss when Twitter used to be good. Here primarily for Interview with the Vampire (and Merrick Mayfair), but also Outlander/the Lord John series, writing, and books (gothic, horror, fantasy, historical fiction, romance, and everything in between)
It took … maybe 3 minutes to get my flu shot from the moment I walked in the door to when I left. I am not used to that kind of efficiency at a grocery store pharmacy.

Finally started reading 'Cry to Heaven' last night on a whim after hoarding it on Libby for months only to find out this morning that it's being made into a movie: deadline.com/2025/11/tom-...

Between having Phillip's "You respect JESUS but not US," line delivery randomly playing on a loop in my head while I making dinner earlier and just now seeing Miriam Shor in the first episode of Pluribus, I think the universe is telling me I need to watch all of The Americans again.

Today has been full of so many delightful nostalgic surprises: a half-hour long Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry retrospective video about Gilmore Girls, and now a reunion chat for my favourite Jane Eyre adaptation???? www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

It’s almost like if people tell you that to win you have to turn your back on poor people, or Muslims, or trans people, or immigrants, you can just say, “no, that’s immoral, we’re not doing that,” and keep doing good old fashioned organizing and campaigning and things will be ok

for anyone who doesn't follow Canadian federal politics: yet *another* conservative has apparently now crossed the floor/left the party to join the liberals (that makes two since yesterday) due to terrible leadership from Poilievre (yes, the guy who lost his own electoral seat last election).

the federal budget has some really promising things in there ... if they can actually be successfully implemented (looking at the individual provincial governments ... cough DoFo cough ... who have already proven to be unreliable/roadblocks when it comes to post-secondary institutions and housing)

To continue my unrelenting trend of book posting lately (the world is Hard and so I am hyperfixating on my TBR pile): The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson is SO good I briefly debated waking up an extra hour early this morning to keep reading it before work.

Hot damn The Starving Saints is exactly as good as everyone says it is; I read a lot of horror but this one feels like something special. Excited to make my way through the author’s back catalogue next.

I use Claude (an AI) to scan my posts for spelling and grammar errors. On the most recent post (about the East Wing, link below), I got a really amazing addendum. www.pbump.net/o/yes-most-a...

it's very funny that they replaced spellcheck with spellcheck that gaslights you and also does not work
I can’t believe my tax dollars went to an ad proselytizing my sworn enemy Ronald Reagan rather than things that actually matter like affordable housing and improving health care and yet … I am kind of okay with it because it’s pissing off trump so much???

Yikes! They’re running the Reagan tariff video on the World Series, while the Blue Jays are beating the Dodgers badly. Trump is probably throwing ketchup bottles.
I finished A Dowry of Blood last night and absolutely loved it, even more so when mid-book I realized it's basically an AU where Pandora, Bianca, and Armand unionize against Marius (and then murder him)
