FIFA, there, demonstrating its commitment to gender equality by making up an award specially for the "grab 'em by the pussy" guy

This is not a new thing to say but I would just like to reaffirm that if you're a cisgender person who's added pronouns to your bio then that's pretty great and I appreciate you 💖

Christmas just isn't Christmas without a hand-delivered volume from Yorkshire's finest purveyor of poetry.
If you're in Sheffield, we can deliver by hand, on foot, to any address in the city encircled by the blue line (and we're happy to gift-wrap books, if you like, at no extra cost). This might be useful for any last-minute Christmas orders (last day to order via this method is Tuesday 23 Dec).

Okay, here we go.

Health & care staff are no longer allowed a Covid booster, but they're still expected to look after COVID+ patients.

NHS/govt is reneging on its duty of care. Staff will become unwell, and patients too will suffer.

You know what to do

At this point I'm leaning towards the conclusion that politicians must now perceive some kind of electoral advantage in pretending to be thick as pigshit, because surely they can't genuinely be *this* thick as pigshit, *surely*

Managed to avoid both the UK budget and the Champions League by getting totally engrossed in one very small detail of a new @pinkopaque.co.uk song I'm making. Clearly I should sample Jesus Jones tracks more often.

Nobody can do the skate like I do
Nobody can do boogaloo like I do
Nobody can do the Philly like I do

At the @pinkopaque.co.uk show last night someone said playing synthpop is "a great reinvention" for me, and now I feel a compulsion to go full Kylie and follow up Indie Pete, Poetry Pete and Disco Pete with Soap Opera Pete and Girl Next Door Pete

I have this, I love it. A slender, beautiful volume holding a stunning poetic journey. I keep going back and back to it. Local #Sheffield poet @petegreensolo.com whose writing flows with truth (and deserves to be known everywhere). Wonderful.

But then all the Longbarrow books are gorgeous...

I’ve really enjoyed Hemisphere, by @petegreensolo.com (published by @longbarrowpress.bsky.social ) - it’s a set of prose poems describing imaginary travels, but in the process ruminating on all kinds of things. Moving, in more than one sense!
