It's ok here though, isn't it? And in Canada. And in Greenland, actually, compared to the suggested alternative...
But in fact, without understanding it, this reviewer really gets the play. I think Beckett would have loved this review.
I'm just pleased for all the people painting St. George crosses on roundabouts to show their support for the Red Roses and confirming their commitment to equality and diversity in sport. At least, I assume that's what they were doing.
Yeah but also Jane Austen, George Eliot etc. Think it's called 'irony'
Well, there could be some riots. Oh shit, no, that was the Kaiser Chiefs. Still Central Powers in 1914, though.
Great thread. Wouldn't it be more accurate just to say that all government spending is a benefit, including defence and interest on public debt? In which case it's predictable that slightly more than half of households receive more benefits than they pay in tax.
The thing that nobody properly acknowledges about Heaven 17 is that one of them, years later, one of them was the spitting image of defensively-minded international football coach Jose Morinho
I never really liked Paula Abdul either, but she did a couple of good songs ('Opposites Attract' and the sexual innuendo-filled 'Straight Up') so I wouldn't ban her from my county.
I never really liked Paula Abdul that much either, but she did do a couple of bangers ('Opposites Attract' and the other one) so I wouldn't ban her from my county.
I read this as 'librarians' and thought that was pretty harsh.
Quite apart from the obvious con/pyramid scheme aspects of this, that article says that a bill is going through Congress making it possible for Federal payments to be made in these crypto/meme currencies. Please, can this possibly be true? www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
Is every memecoin just a scam? Experts on whether Andrew Tate and Trump are fleecing their followers
After I was turned into a memecoin, I looked into the hype behind the crypto that only a tiny percentage of people profit from

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I presume the Québecois aren't too keen. Do you not think many Canadians would think - right now - that it's better to have a head of state with no power than, you know, an elected president?
Not on the Plain, though, where the rain mainly stays.
David Hume, writing in 1758: "There still prevails, even in nations well acquainted with commerce, a strong jealousy with regard to the balance of trade, and a fear, that all their gold and silver may be leaving them. This seems to me, almost in every case, a groundless apprehension."
Is there any chance that Carney, once he's done the Canadian premiership thingy, could come and be the UK's PM, like he did with the central bank governorships?!
Of course, but please can we protect him until the Ashes? We need him then as leader, batter, and 10-high-impact-overs-a-day bowler. We'll see how it goes after that.
Does anyone know of statistical work that's been done on the standard deviation of points totals in the PL compared to other leagues? The assumption was always that the PL had a low standard deviation, and was hence more competitive, but that might never have been correct, or not any more.
Love Freddie Ljungberg strolling up, trying to look menacing but also looking like a member of Duran Duran in 1983, knowing he's way too polite a young Swede to get stuck in.
Amazing thread, Russ. Just to note that the Brunel Cochrane worked with was Isambard Kingdom's father, Marc, who was... French! (Isambard worked on the tunnel a decade or so later)
Bathe, don't shower. Exfoliate a little bit - but not roughly - with a mild soap, then get about a teaspoon of olive oil, rub it over your body and especially affected parts, and soak for a bit. You can buy pommace olive oil (the stuff extract after the EVO) in 5 litre catering bottles.
