🚨 Mads Pedersen update 🚨 he suffered a fracture of the left wrist and right collarbone in the crash on day one at Volta Comunitat Valenciana, which will be operated on tomorrow.

Hard to imagine it won't affect his spring campaign, what a pity.

Visma's new Talent ID plan has me wondering about the cost of recruitment in 2026.

Given that teenage riders are being locked down to multi-year seven-figure contracts, even an extensive talent development infrastructure could be good ROI for any team.

This Facebook page, Cycling Pulse, gets a lot of traction at the moment with stories that are completely made up. Here is a prime example underneath.

I saw @peterstuart.bsky.social post about this on LinkedIn. It is a real worry how much traction these sort of things get when it's utter rubbish.

I was speaking with someone very well connected in the anti-doping world yesterday. They said: "In a lot of countries it's impossible to be caught. We're not going forwards but backwards."

The feeling among most within the anti-doping movement is that it's facing its biggest ever crisis.
