Accidentally said "thank" when disembarking the bus earlier. Singular thank. Not "thank you" or even "thanks". Singular thank. I think it was bc my brain short circuited owing to there being both a driver and mentor, and faced with needing to ensure my thanks was addressed to both, misfired?

Finally bought some Kissburn snacks today and holy shit they're good

Biryani stands undefeated as the best value option from an Indian takeaway in this country. In unrelated news I will be consuming a house special biryani in hopefully about an hour.

Merry Christmas folks! Happy to have some of this on the go, drank this on our wedding day many years back.

Why is Asda's website and app so bad? Only using them bc Tesco have no delivery slots left till the 27th. Wish I didn't have to, and usually I'd just go get stuff manually but I have a raging cold and several trips on busses with my granny trolley are not what I need rn (& others don't need my cold)

The thing is with FFXIV, 99% of people are at least fine (like 75% absolutely lovely) and then there's that last 1% who will make you question humanity

Sometimes when someone is being a dipshit in duty finder, you just gotta dip and go bed.
December 16, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Uh oh. I think I caught a cold on my work Christmas lunch on Friday. Given that it was a local bus plus 1hr train there and back, and the one back in particular was packed, it's not a huge surprise. At least it isn't flu!

Been a while since I got panini pressed. (Our household term for the combo of electric blanket + weighted blanket, for the big ouchies)

Still cranky bout razer, why does every separate peripheral I have by them apparently have a separate firmware update utility? Why are we not integrating those into the core software you made me get, razer? Cmon man.
December 14, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Saying this as someone who used to be a massive razer fanboy but why does everything razer touch turn to utter shit? Stg I'm never buying their stuff again, the nerds were right all along.

Really feel that Nationwide (the building society) have gone badly downhill. Truthfully I think its under the new leadership which seems hellbent on making it as banky as possible. I miss the old nationwide that felt like they were really doing things differently.

Yeah, that sounds about right. 7k mins this year too, which is a lot higher than last year actually. Oh and my #1 podcast was about wirecard/Jan Marsalek lmao (ofc it was)

It sucks that eels are endangered because I really like unagi dishes but after learning that, I just can't justify it, you know? So if humanity could sort that out, or make a convincing analogue that would work too!

I'm having fun 😊
A stunning first-half at the Hill Dickinson Stadium! 💪

Videogame music has got so damn good, man. I'm out here listening to tracks made for/about games I don't even play.

Super early days for treatments like this, but the idea we could hit a point where autoimmune conditions like I have could in essence be cured is heartening. Even if it comes way after I'm long gone, some kids not even born yet will hopefully have a radically better time.
Developed initially to target and kill tumors, they are now being engineered to target cells that are contributing to autoimmune diseases, like antibody-producing B cells.
