He should sent Oscar with Aoba, and tells the snake which was a light, green snake to go follow Aoba and make sure he’s safe.

There was no alarm clock, but there is a wall clock across the room hanging on the wall. Though regardless if there was a clock or not, Aoba won't be awake anytime soon at least until noon at earliest. He is a very sleepy guy.
