My recent pet peeve is internet sentences trailing off with "so..."

I really hope you're not implying you've considered all the possibilities, seeing that shadows of causality leave only one conclusion. Because it's usually blatantly not the case.

I just assume it tickles them in the brain.

also her, and Ebrina.
I forgot why I drew this.
the oc malt squinting and shading her eyes from the sun with her hand. Ebrina is in the background eating a burger and look at the viewer like a surprised cat.

We can't avoid doing hard things. And we don't want anyone to have a debilitating intolerance for imperfection. But the journey of art is also about finding things you love and can obsess about, finding your people, asking for help, looking for obscure answers, looking very closely at things.

All sorts of fast forms of modern entertainment does a number on the human brain. "Frustration tolerance" has little to do with miscalibrated sense of pace or an entangled ego. And you see so many beginners get nowhere studiously grinding deadend methods hoping it just works like video game EXP.

I think that post going around about frustration tolerance misses the point. It sounds more like conflation and lamentation about why humans are born with the ability to care about what other people think.

Hello? Is anyone home? It's Manul Monday!
A slightly out of focus manul's face very close in the foreground as it investigates the camera, with a scenic snow covered mountain range in the distance.

Yeah, at some point I think the important question is "are you really into doing it or are you just imagining low-hanging-fruit rewards?"

And all the (modern) considerations that the question brings up about how we find our entertainment and fulfillment.

The one thing I’ve learned is that obsession is much stronger than intelligence so at some point I decided to full commit.

The funny thing about the recent bsky/discord scams is that last year, I actually did have to contact someone who I hadn't contacted for years because someone was impersonating them. But not here.

I've had to deal with customer service stuff for the past few weeks and I can say LLMs, combined with red tape, has made the processes a lot more confusing and a lot less responsive to the actual issues.

All it does is give the illusion that things getting attention.

The companies only need to keep repeating it and stuffing it everywhere and people will think it's just something that everyone is already using so they should use it too, like any new app or service.
The fact that we have less social media overlap these days means people can get a bit oblivious.

Conversations about how other people are stupid is a dangerous drug.

That makes me kinda thankful for the people who kinda make sure their sponsors are unrelated-enough to their topics. Or at least the specific topic of the videos.
I think they make a point that "this part of the video is sponsored. not the whole video".
