Repugnant. What worries me is that this guy likely didn’t recently *become* this repugnant; he was always this way. What’s changed for these racist, fascist asshats isn’t their outlook, it’s that they think they no longer need to be afraid of being racists loudly and proactively. Hoods off.
I feel bad for the newbies who weren’t here for your “I should probably eat something besides cheese” skeet of yore. 😁
I agree. See the Mothership stuff mentioned upthread.
I dunno. I support PJs guy doing what he did. But what would a stressed out, heavily-armed asshole be more likely to do than usual, if/when they face yelling like this at every turn?
End of day, between herself, her team and the donor/consultant-driven advisers, they collectively couldn't figure out how to beat a convicted felon the voters had already had a long four year look at, culminating in J6. That's not a résumé that screams "give me another shot." It just isn't.
The most important reason Harris shouldn't run again is the disastrous instincts she showed during last year's race: unforced errors like zero meaningful distance from the Biden's policies (including on Palestine), putting Walz on a short leash just as the "weird" bit was working well, many others.
Michael Dukakis, Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton - none of these defeated Democratic candidates launched a second try at the White House, for good reason: voters had their chance once already and they decided to pass. What makes this time exceptional enough that it should be different?
Yes, I know there were multiple factors outside Harris' control that were stacked against her - Biden choosing to run again and not dropping out sooner, persistent sexism and racism, and other factors including deep systemic issues with the Democratic Party itself - but that's part of the point.
What’s the old joke? GOP is the party that campaigns on the idea that government doesn’t work, and then gets elected and proves it?
What is this ziggurat of orange squash? Do people come to this as a temple to worship? 🤔😆
…I suspect the only thing he’ll fear or regret is death itself, not what might happen in a hypothetical “after.”
He may or may not believe in hell, and I agree that a “you mean I’m the bad guy” moment for him would be enjoyable. I just don’t think he’ll have one. He’s been so far up his own ass for so long - and allowed by circumstances of his wealth to believe he’s always immune to consequences, that…
I remember a dude on Twitter more than a decade ago during the health care fight confidently asserting “we’re not fighting the ACA, we’re fighting Obamacare.” Same energy: it’s only real (and we only learn) when it affects us.
And yet you still will not call this what it is, @wsj.com — naked corruption? www.wsj.com/finance/curr...
From the GOP “it’s not real (or can be ignored/mocked) until it affects me or my loved ones” school of selfish thought(lessness) www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...
Glad about the no Nazi tattoo.
What offices have you run for?
Blackwater? Like seriously? 😳
