Weirdly we had just started listening to the album as I read this - haven’t played it for a long time but “found it” when adding songs to my daughter’s nano earlier

I hadn’t been so aware of MD. Saw FM play at Trent Poly and I recall them being blistering although pretty small audience from memory. Might even have been one of the Monday night free gigs they put on around that time

Snub TV was an important gateway to new music - I was an immediate fan of FM and I seem to recall they hadn’t released anything when this was broadcast

They played Rock City the week I arrived in Nottingham on that tour - still a few months later, an emerging band called The Sundays supported TM 🤪
