Well, I mean, it *is* racist, but not at all for the reasons people give. They don't have the brain power to comprehend the idea of the White Saviour, or how something can be racist AND anti-racist at the same time.
Except that it's true, and they work if you actually understand your job through-and-through. The problem is people who don't understand their job, not the tools. Otherwise, we'd all still be using slide rules and abacuses.
