Having a good preen on the rocks and showing off those eye markings SO well. Kilometre out to Wadden Sea early this morning, before eventually coming to shore at Wagejot for a good 30 minutes. If only Redcar’s king eider had ever done the same … @teesbirds.bsky.social

Red-breasted goose, Texel, Netherlands. In amongst 70+ dark-bellied brent geese in failing light. Torrential rain, bitterly cold, no spectacled eider today with @stuartbb.bsky.social @andymalley53.bsky.social @philflam.bsky.social

Crazy we allow this nonsense to happen in “wild” places. Same as music concerts in Dalby Forest in the middle of breeding season. Respect for nature as been lost.
