For the record as Poole voter I wholeheartedly support @neilduncanjordan.bsky.social stance on his opposition to the cruelty proposed by this government www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
Poole’s MP is fighting asylum reforms. His constituents aren’t so sure
Despite his tiny majority, Labour’s Neil Duncan-Jordan has criticised Shabana Mahmood’s migration plans. But is he in danger of handing his seat over to Reform?

Breaking News. The Russians reject their own peace plan @samfr.bsky.social
Russia flat out rejects Trump's 28-point peace plan: "Even in a reduced military and territorial form, Ukraine would remain a significant danger, requiring us to keep our forces on the western borders."

Zia Yusef says this @mrjamesob.bsky.social @iandunt.bsky.social but they are doing exactly the same thing to asylum seekers and Muslims.

We are two days on from the sentencing of Nathan Gill, Reform Wales Leader, for taking bribes from a hostile state. Sent down for 10.5 years. It’s a big deal.

Chances of Kuensberg or Phillips dedicating their Shows to it??? Half their Shows even?

Negligible .

A pretty conclusive way to show you are being truly abominable as possible when creating anti-immigration/asylum policies is be making them apply retrospectively.
People already with lives here, working and with families, now at risk of being ripped away from that. 65/

Remember integration? That thing voters "really, really" care about? Where's that in the latest plans?

My column:
Labour has given up on integration
Shabana Mahmood's latest asylum plans prioritise return at the expense of integrating newcomers

Nigel Farage wants to ban dual citizenship.

A quick reminder that the hypocrite-in-chief tried to add German citizenship to his own by lying about the place & length of his residence in Germany, & then had to withdraw his application when found out.

@adambienkov.bsky.social @mrjamesob.bsky.social the problem with this complaint by the government is asylum seekers are not allowed to to rent privately or work so why is it a problem if a family member helps him from being destitute.

To be clear: Trump is only calling for the GOP to release the Epstein files because he was told he’s about to lose 150+ republicans on this vote.
November 17, 2025 at 3:10 AM
It reminds of the dying days of the Johnson government. They would have a position. He would send out lots of ministers to publicly defend that position and then he would suddenly u-turn effectively making all those ministers look like fools.
So what does Trump’s u-turn on releasing the Epstein files mean? Has the DOJ now finished cleaning them up?

I voted tactically in the last election. I will not be doing so again. Right now I cannot bring myself to vote Labour under ANY circumstances.
When Tommy Robinson is celebrating your policies it is time to take a long hard look in the mirror and then quit politics forever.
Not everyone is unhappy about the Government's descent into anti-refugee politics

Today is not the day to argue "oh so you want Reform to win then" as an argument for Labour's indefensible and inhumane anti-asylum policies. At least be honest and own that you're defending racist policies promoted with genuinely far right talking points. Don't try and pretend this is "progressive"

Labour policy is being celebrated by Tommy Robinson.

That's it.

That's all you ever need to say to explain who Labour are.

New report by the National Bureau of Economic Research... it is even worse than previous estimates suggested. The authors’ findings are that: “We estimate that by 2025, the Brexit process had reduced UK GDP by 6% to 8%, investment by 12% to 18%, employment by 3% to 4%, and productivity by 3% to 4%.”

Morning @mrjamesob.bsky.social under If the UK had Danish “temporary protection” rules no route to settlement, no citizenship, review every few years we would have lost some of the people who shaped Britain such as
Sir Mo Farah
Lucian Freud
Freddie Mercury
Judith Kerr
Hans Zimmer
Ncuti Gatwa
