She gave us a scare after going into respiratory distress, but is now on medication to keep her feeling well.
After all she's been through, Sweet Potato is VERY ready to enjoy some R&R in a home & show what a sweet girl she is (she loves to be pet & will reward you with lots of gentle purrs)! ๐

She gave us a scare after going into respiratory distress, but is now on medication to keep her feeling well.
After all she's been through, Sweet Potato is VERY ready to enjoy some R&R in a home & show what a sweet girl she is (she loves to be pet & will reward you with lots of gentle purrs)! ๐

In the meantime, poor Sweet Potato had a medical event of her own, which led to us discovering that she has asthma.

When we ran a routine microchip scan, we discovered she'd not only been spayed already โ she'd been adopted from PAWS 10 years ago!
We got in touch with her adopter, who shared that she'd escaped from her home in 2019 & had been lost ever since ๐

He'll do great with someone who's comfortable with easy meds, has a flexible enough schedule to get him back to our clinic for the occasional rechecks & who understands that โ while his health journey may be uncertain โ his sweet personality makes him absolutely worth it.

Ed is currently doing pretty well all things considered, but we're not sure of his long-term prognosis & really want to get him out of the shelter before he has a chance to catch an illness with his weakened immune system โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

While Ed is perfect in so many ways (chatty, confident, full of love & purrs), he arrived with some not-so-perfect medical conditions, including:
๐ Mystery anemia
๐ Feline leukemia (contagious only to other cats)
๐ A chronic autoimmune condition called "pillowfoot" managed with daily antibiotics
