My third career is as an historian currently exploring the story of British manufacturing and its impact on our society. https://britishmanufacturinghistory.uk/ I had previously written on army supply in War on Wheels, Ordnance and Dunkirk to D Day.

Sally Wainwright’s #RiotWomen takes TV Drama to a whole new level. Other dramas have shocked, Riot Women shocked because those shocking things happen. It was writing with no space wasted, it moved from scene to scene with no filling. Brilliant and unforgettable.

#temporary accommodation is a scandal. @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social reports on families moved from hotels to #HMOs. Our friend was evicted for her landlord said he wanted to sell. Now she finds he converted the building into a HMO. She is in temporary accommodation with burst radiators and roofs leeks

Thank you @the-rsc.bsky.social for a most wonderful production of Measure for Measure I can’t wait to see more of Adam James. I read Dame Judy’s book on the play in which she makes but passing reference to the Duke. He stole the show even though the rest of the cast were brilliant.
