Next steps:
* new immunological associations were highlighted in PBC, warranting further validation studies in bigger cohorts;
* functional studies are needed to investigate these novel biomarkers as suitable immunotherapy targets for PBC treatment.

Results: increased soluble #HVEM, #interferon #IFN-λ3, #IFN-γ, and #gut barrier permeability significantly differentiated disease stages and UDC response groups.
