Symmetry creates balance, harmony, and a sense of control that feels almost mathematical. But then there’s natural, organic flow: unplanned scenes that don’t fit into neat boxes. Branches that twist, streets that bend: not perfect, but still have a beauty all their own. Which one draws you in? 🤔

Some views are meant to be felt, as they invite us to reflect and contemplate. They tell us to take a pause, breathe, and take in the surroundings. They help clear our minds. 🌊

Streets are full of untold stories, and the cyclist is both a part of the scene and passing through it. Photography is about recognizing these split-second compositions, the different directions people take in life, and capturing them. Fujifilm and Leica gives them a whole other vibe. ✨

This picture highlights resilience in adversity, with the delicate form of the flower juxtaposed against the harsh, industrial surroundings. 🌺

Sometimes, all it takes is a step to the left or right to turn an ordinary shot into a perfectly composed one. ✅

Some skies don’t ask for attention, they just drift quietly, carrying thoughts you haven’t put into words yet. ☁️

Edward Weston’s words remind us that while technical rules can guide us, they should never confine us. Composition is important, but intuition, emotion, and vision are what truly shape a photograph. Much like walking, creating images should feel natural, and most importantly, pleasant! 😌📸

There are moments that feel like they’re already fading, even as you look at them. You can't keep them, but you can capture them and cherish them forever. ☀️

In street photography, the markings on windows and wallls are both subject and backdrop. ✨

Direct the viewer's attention (shape it) through repetition, clean lines, and intentional framing. 📷

Both approaches can be beautiful, depending on what story you want to tell. So, what’s your preference, and why? 🤔

Using contrast in black-and-white photos is not just for "making things stand out more". Contrast can also create a sense of balance, especially if you find it naturally. 🐴

Don’t be afraid to leave parts of the frame empty; sometimes, what you leave out says more than what you include. 👀

Assymmetry works well when you want to create tension between elements. What matters most is control: knowing where the imbalance is and using it to your advantage. 📸

This image was all about balance. When the landscape is already doing most of the visual work, rather than creating a dramatic effect, we can help our subjects blend in, rather than stand out. 🖤🤍

That’s the sweet spot I keep coming back to in photography: capturing less, but saying more. A single subject, an almost clean background; not empty, but clear. 🌳

Good photography doesn’t need to shout. It doesn’t rely on elaborate setups or extravagant edits to make an impact. ✅

There’s something undeniably captivating about visual harmony: the repetition, the rhythm, and the quiet precision of parallel forms all work together to create a sense of balance and intention. 🖤🤍

When it comes to lighting, every photographer has their preferences, and for good reason: it defines the photo's entire mood and message. 🔦

Photographing people in their element, especially in these slower, more reflective moments, reminds us of the beauty in the everyday. It's the kind of scene you almost walk past until you realize it's everything. 📸

Using reflection as a tool in photography invites a kind of visual ambiguity that challenges the viewer to look closer. It creates space for interpretation: for the subject to become anyone, and for the image to carry more than just a likeness. ✨

Marketplaces are one of the most dynamic environments a traveling photographer can explore. Bursting with motion, character, and contrast, they offer the perfect opportunity to sharpen your observational eye and challenge your timing. ⌚

Black and white photography has a way of stopping time.
It simplifies, sharpens, and tells stories that last.
In my new blog article, I share why this classic medium continues to inspire photographers and viewers alike.

When we focus too much on what we "should" do, we risk missing the shot that's right in front of us. Good photographs come from being present, being curious, and trusting what draws our eye. 👀

When you capture abandoned things in black and white, you highlight their stories. They become memories that help you imagine what went on in someone's life and in their home. 🏠
