Onto the props! This is where I spent most of the time on #FollowTheOrders. The first assets on the video I was assigned were these gears

Next, I made the Assurance Moon set! This one was a crazy challenge to be thrown into, but I had a blast making it!

This set was REALLY modeled to the camera, the rocks were sculpted & remeshed with a tiling texture on top to make them look more drawn

Blender was mostly used for modeling, with the final assets being delivered in Maya for rendering in Redshift. Texturing was done in Substance Painter & Substance Designer, and we baked high-poly details onto the lower poly subd meshes.

This was my first time doing non-minecraft or lowpoly modeling really, so it was a blast figuring out trim sheet workflows, making tileable textures, SubD modeling, etc.
I'm really proud of how these models and textures came out, all things considered.

I enjoyed making Norm, Buzz, Sumo and Wolski look so dapper 😍 very proud of Norm's Cowboy outfit haha
