I cannot be trusted around a Lego store at this (or any other) time of year
A Lego haunted House set, Lego zombie skull mug, and two dia de los muertos minifigures on the seat of a mesh chair. The two dia de los muertos minifigures on my hand close to the camera. On the left is a Lego mariachi guitarist with a sugar skull style face. On the right is a Lego woman in a black floral dress with long black hair that has a flower in it, also with a sugar skull style face.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I try not to be a hater about E-bikes, more bikes is good even if it's not how I want to engage with a bike

But it's real hard not to be a hater when you get run off the trail because two chucklefucks on tiny motorcycles don't know how to pass on a trail

just a reminder that bandcamp friday is tomorrow & streaming services are interrupting music streams with ai generated shit, flooding the database with artists that don't exist in any way other than profiting the platform owners

so instead of paying a monthly fee, buy an album or two each month ok

Honestly stunned by these results

I saw At The Gates in 2015 on the decibel tour, I don't mosh much, but I kinda compulsively threw myself into the pit when they played Nausea, not a lot of bands can do that to me

"what the hell is an ear even? Or a nose? What do you mean people put jewelry there??"

I thought I had escaped the tyranny of anatomy, no, I just changed the plane of the anatomy and ran smack into it again
pileofbooks.bsky.social
The more I try sketch jewelry designs in relation to human form the more I'm realizing that fuck, I still need to learn how to draw anatomy properly

Anyway realizing I haven't posted about it because I don't post, but I'm enjoying umamusume way more than I thought I would, the gacha mechanic is reprehensible yes but the actual mechanics are interesting and fun and the stories are generally fun!
I love all my idiot daughters

Typo in the first post of the thread, I'm gonna kermit sudoku

Anyway I was thinking about that bit the entire day instead of thinking about my job

In conclusion, in cycling terms, every umamusume is a clydesdale

Thank you for coming to my ted talk

And then if the drivetrain can, you'd need to have heavy duty wheels on there too, weight weenie 10 spoke race wheels wouldn't cut that kind of rotational force! The whole bike would have to be pretty beefy
pileofbooks.bsky.social
I've been reading about forces involved in normal usage and people discussing gas engine converted bikes and the forces involved there, would the drivetrain of a bike be able to take the torque of an umas legs??
pileofbooks.bsky.social
These are people who can run 40mph and have the power to drag a 3000lb tire! Sure they could mount a bicycle, but could the bicycle take the forces involved?
pileofbooks.bsky.social
Because my brain is the way it is I've been thinking a lot about "could an umamusume ride a bicycle" to which three obvious response is "they're the same shape as a non-uma human of course they could ride a bike" to which I say Foolish Presumption!!

I know Hispanic Heritage Month starts on the 15th but in this house we celebrate it whenever we want.

The soundtrack to my high school and early college life is mostly Remission, Leviathan, Blood Mountain, and Crack the Skye
Realizing I didn't have all those albums ready to go on this phone felt like a major life fuck up in a more significant way than most of my actual life fuck ups

Fucking hell, Mastodon remains one of my favorite bands of all time even if I hadn't been following them closely for a bit now
One of my first gateways into metal in general, especially the guitarwork
RIP Brent, gone too fucking soon
