A nice photo of Troy.
I did a lot of #closelens #trailcamera work through the summer.

2 new fly patterns for the 2025 season proved to be the best.
My chameleon bulb, the top fly, was by far my best.
The red straggle muddler was by far my brother's best fly.
Really interesting 👌
The season is nearly out, 6th October.

The second young male has a scratch to his nose. You can also see his testicles just beginning to be pronounced enough to see.
I'll wager they've been tussling one another.

I've had a proper look at the 2 martens with cuts. Both are this years male kits. They might even be brothers.
This young one has a scratch to his right flank. notice his testicles are just beginning to form.☺️

I'll share a couple of clips on the following days..
Some young animals try and find territories from about now, that will cause conflicts.
I have lost all idea of who the animals are. Yes lots of harvesting must affect territories. Still lots of animals about, I just don't know who they are🫢

I've a couple injured, well, small cuts.. nothing at all serious.

Great... I used to half the egg so they had to eat it at the camera. Good as well.

Things definitely need to change. If the estates can't coexist with raptors, they should be closed down.

I live in South West Scotland. The Eagles are safe in the West near me. They are not safe in the East where grouse moors are..
This needs stopping!

I look forward to seeing that.
I'd hoped I'd get them on a camera but not yet. They are about..

Nice clip, Ian. A marten will be great to get. 🤞

You'll need to be sharpish. I just put some sitka branches up as a blind, when the martens were like clockwork. One young male was actually standing behind us on his hind legs working us out. He then went to the feeder.. He didn't mind too much about us.

Pop a little makeshift hide up. You'll see it in person.. I've did this a few times.👌 amazing!!!

Rain... that's just our normal.
Isn't it interesting how different our climates are.

And out time zones... bed time for me!

It must me mine, it hasn't rained here for 3 days 🫢 I'm fine, you can keep it.

Excellent, Andy. I watched a female hunt, while I fished today.

It's good to share isn't it. Our spring and summer was dry, not as dry as yours, I'll wager😂

Dry for us is unusual, it usually rains here.

Similar then, we're on holiday this coming week. So, really not much time left.
I haven't fished so much the past few years. I shall fish more next season. I look forward to your fishing exploits.
