Flash Story- Singlet Makes a Strongman

It happened the second that the material touched his shoulders, the moment that the singlet was completely on his body, Matt saw his husband disappear and get replaced with somebody else. He looked the same, at least at first, but his expressions, his posture and his voice instantly changed.
Even though Matt saw it happen, he didn't immediately recognize something was wrong.
"How does it feel?" He asked Joe.
Joe turned around, admiring himself in the mirror. "It feels incredible." He said with a thick vaguely European accent. Matt laughed, assuming Joe was joking.
"It looks great." Matt said. Joe's singlet would definitely be a hit at the sportswear party their local gay bar was throwing.
They'd spent their Saturday morning pursuing the shops downtown for appropriate outfits and they'd struck gold at the antique shop. A whole rack of vintage sports clothes. Matt had snagged a football jersey, complete with padding, and Joe had grabbed the singlet.
Joe struck a double bicep pose in the mirror.
"I feel incredible." He said, still using the accent.
"You look incredible." Matt agreed. "We'll have some fun with that outfit after the..."
Before he could finish that sentence, Joe, his 170 pound husband, had scooped Matt into his arms, then hoisted him up over his head like a barbell.

"What the hell?" Matt weighed nearly 200 pounds. Joe had never lifted him up before. Matt could no longer ignore that something had happened to Joe.
Over the next few hours, Joe wandered around the house lifting objects of increasing size while talking about his body and strength in a cartoonist accent.
Matt followed him around, begging him to remove the singlet, but Joe ignored his pleas.
The strangest thing of all was that as this went on Joe seemed to change physically. The singlet had hung loosely when he first put it on, but the material was now taut against his body. All the lifting is pumping blood into Joe's muscles, Matt concluded.
He followed Joe as he walked to the kitchen, intent on lifting the refrigerator.
Matt ran around him and blocked the doorway. "Joe, stop! Something is wrong with you!”
For the first time in their relationship, Matt looked at Joe and felt intimidated. It had to be an illusion, but Joe looked bigger and more imposing than he ever had before. An aura of strength radiated from him.
Despite this, Joe didn’t look upset or angry.
"I feel incredible." He repeated, smiling.
"Okay." Matt said, calmly. "Can you please just take the singlet off for a minute? I love you, and I just need to know you're okay."

Joe took a step back. He pulled the singlet off his shoulders, then peeled it down his torso and legs. Then he stepped out of it.
It was no illusion. Joe's body was larger and more defined than it had been only hours earlier. His slight paunch had become six-pack abdominals worthy of an infomercial. Pumped veins streaked across his biceps like lightning bolts.
Even through his shock, Matt found the sight of Joe arousing.
Apparently noticing that his body was being admired, Joe flexed his biceps. Matt's heart skipped a beat.
"I've never felt so strong." Joe stop had the accent. If anything it has become thicker.
Joe strolled past May, who was frozen in place. Matt heard magnets hit the floor as the fridge was hoisted into the air by his naked husband.
As Matt turned around to assess the damage, he saw the football jersey and pads sitting on the couch where he'd left them.
He'd pulled the jersey and pads off the same rack as the singlet.
If you can't beat them…
