I really wish I could get over this with just post process, but it breaks emissives (they don't write to the light buffer and I can't just stencil them out) and I kinda need emissives soooooo shader time i guess

I think in Hifi Rush what they did is make a custom pass after the lighting, before transparency, which I coooould do..... but I can probably just get away with a single shader and do transparency some other way.... I'll have to see. Not like I have many transparent objects. itll be an issue tho

I've never done engine modifications but I had a very specific type of rendering in mind that I can't do with default lighting models. Specifically I want to keep PBR calculations for light but I want to change how the shadow colors are mapped. End result is gonna be REALLY cool.

Also a lot of the attack animations use root motion for weight, dynamism etc. so that's pretty important
