My birds: *eating fresh vegetables, legumes, high quality pellets, in clean XL cages with lots of toys, natural perches, taking baths, fully flighted, socialized, but clearly suffering.

The fact that I got laid off with 85 other colleagues and as of today, over 25 employees have quit, including my former director, and 15 positions have been posted and no one is applying just makes my afternoon coffee taste even better.

Nothing as soul crushing as the career path i chose. Spent an hour listening to someone dump every problem on me then got an email about overdue work. Said work is overdue because your manager give different answers and there's no workflow for me to look at.

Let me explain it from the POV of a healthcare worker with a large homeless, SUD, and behavioral health population: WE ARE NOT GIVEN THE RESOURCES TO HELP. Unless you are there talking to them and knowing their situation, you need to STFU.
