I would try to make you play Warframe because that literally has a lot of timegates, but I don't think online games are your interest.

Video gaming is a mix of playing what you want and managing your time. I really think you should take a dip in it and just do what you want to do.
There are also:

The choices-matter games: Telltale Games (The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us), Life is Strange, The Dark Pictures Anthology.

Roguelikes and roguelites: Hades and II, The Darkest Dungeon and II, Risk of Rain 2

Survival: Terraria, Zelda Switch games, Dying Light
You can also play the Persona games. Those ones are calendar-based, so not progressing the day will literally stop your progress. Mind you, they're not casual RPGs, but they don't have difficulty spikes as long as you take your time and pace yourself.
Stardew Valley's time progression can be stopped by opening a window before putting the game on Standby Mode (or alternatively quitting the game after playing). It's not advisable to let it run on Standby if you want to take care of your batteries. Thus, there are ways to take the game slow.
Get something casual that's not too much of a timesink so you can control your leisure time. I would suggest getting either a Switch/Switch 2 or a portable PC so you have wide game choices. Stardew Valley, Portal/Portal 2, Blue Prince, and majority of turn-based RPGs are great game choices.
6. My Taskmaster crushes: Tim Key, Al Murray, Bob Mortimer, Asim Chaudhry, Iain Stirling, Johnny Vegas, Jamali Maddix, and Guz Khan.

I think I liked Jamali the most, Guz second; both reminded me of why I liked Rooster Teeth's Armando Torres—just big men with beards being incredibly fashionable.

5. I've actually just recently learned that a lot of people didn't like that Morgana Robinson won because of Greg's bonus point. I would argue the points don't matter; it's a comedy show. Series 12 was a wonderful mix of quotable quips and masterful plays. One bonus point doesn't detract from that.

4. My most favorite contestant per series (so far) are the following: Tim Key, Richard Osman, Al Murray, Mel Giedroyc, Bob Mortimer, Asim Chaudhry, Jessica Knappett, Joe Thomas, Rose Matafeo, Johnny Vegas, Jamal Maddix, and Guz Khan.

I know some of them are my type, but they made their series fun.

3. My most favorite series however goes to Series 9. It's a perfect mix of proficiency and expertise, humorous takes and japes, lateral thinking, and David Baddiel. Also, I'm fueled by the Ed Gamble–Rose Matafeo rivalry throughout the series and thought that Rose had a chance to win the trophy.

2. My favorite task would have to be the final group task in Series 5 where both teams have to make a song about Rosalind as part of Taskonbury. Despite bumbling their way throughout the entire series, Mark and Nish made the catchiest, most wholesome Brit-rock song.

Series 5 is so damn good.

After watching 12 series of #Taskmaster, here's some of my comments, takes, and funny musings.

1. Greg Davies really started to hold back on the overlord persona of Taskmaster after the clay mask incident in the final episode of Series 10. Katherine Parkinson looked particularly soured that day.

the best answer i got for this:
I'm not a choir guy, but after watching a classmate join choir competitions in college, I can imagine Sovngarde being sung by a huge choir, replacing the drums with stomps to represent marching into the afterlife without detracting from the war chant feel of the song.
Speaking of Sovngarde, I heard the eponymous track once again, cementing the fact that it's definitely my favorite song in the soundtrack. Yes, Dragonborn is that iconic as it reworks Nerevar Rising into Nordic context, but Sovngarde's drums and chants add to the mystery of the Nord afterlife.

at least to a point that it would take them ages to rebuild. I didn't pursue the companions. I made choices that locked me out of Daedric artifacts. My soul is tethered to Evergloam in Nocturnal's shadowy embrace. I sided with the empire in reuniting Skyrim and saw Ulfric Stormcloak in Sovngarde.

For the second time since playing it in late 2011, I finished #Skryim. Compared to my first playthrough, I've made some decisions that locked me out of some trophies, but of course I can remedy that by creating a new character and trying again.

I decided to destroy the Dark Brotherhood,
