Howdy #screenshotsaturday! Hi, I'm Eric of the pixel variety and I'm working on an indie rpg called Kokoa! Follow Kokoa the cat and his best pal Dawn the Bunny on their quest to save the Vanilla Islands from an unknown threat!

Given current trends, that's a safe guess to make and in this case it's more complicated. It's all about mechanics, more in line with the scaling difficulty of games like Paper Mario or Mario and Luigi!

This game has no right to be this damn funny.

I haven't played this game ever since my disc stopped working 15 years ago. It's BETTER than I remember. Now that doesn't happen too often. I haven't stopped smiling.

I'm in for such a treat. (It's also way shorter than I remember...???)

I kinda want to try hosting a game jam later this year, but idk how many people would be interested in the theme.

It'd be completely #MegaManLegends themed. Something to bring devs together to make new (simple) games based on the series while we wait for Capcom to do...anything, with it, really.

Revitalized an old item to 24x24 size

Toady Tokens are Somewhen's version of Dark Cloud 2's medals. There's a finite amount of them to claim during a run in any given dungeon. Or Super Mario RPG's frog coins

I purposely made the ridges of the token look sorta like a lilypad...

Thank you and you're quite spot on! The game's visual style is mainly inspired by the GBA to DS era of handheld gaming! Mario and Luigi being a prime example, spot on!

Somewhen is an in-dev indie RPG inspired by time-travel classics from the late 1990s and early 2000s.

It is not at all like its 2019 incarnation. Every time I close my eyes, it seems to take on a new form.

I kept at it on and off, on and off.
This time... I've reinvented the adventure.
