Not what I'd hang in my living room, but each to their own.
From Wayfair -- a picture of flames with Matt. 5:29 written 'And if thy right eye offend thee pluck it out, and cast it from thee...' The picture hangs above an impossibly tidy desk.

If nothing else, my training in biblical studies has equipped me to recognise a chiasmus in Josh Ritter’s new album.

He's fantastic as is the new album. We discovered his music in Athens back in 2006 when he gave away a free MP3 of 'Thin Blue Flame' -- hooked ever since. I've seen him live every time he's in town and it's always the most joyous and life-affirming experience imaginable.

A great interview about this paradigm-shifting book on ancient incarnation. Well worth the listen.

In addition to the racing, I love the colours in the valley. Both the landscape and the little things, like the heather and pine, and the fireweed going to seed. 2/

Every year I have the opportunity to be the official photographer for the Tom Robb Memorial Trail Race in Carron Valley. It’s an amazing event that raises funds for Alzheimer Scotland and Ochils Mountain Rescue. It's always a fun, life-affirming day out and it's a privilege to take part. 1/

Oh, that's a fantastic line up. I'll be there, but only as a little square on a Teams screen. I'm sad about it because BNTC is always my favourite.

Thanks, Glenn. 'Notable scholar of migration in Scripture' is definitely too generous a description for me, but I appreciate the compliment!

Mary, Joseph, and Jesus are often described as 'refugees' in popular
interpretations of the flight to Egypt in the Gospel of Matthew. The image
resonates with contemporary Christians, who see echoes of the nativity
story in the suffering of the situation of the forcibly displaced in our world
today. Defining Jesus as a refugee has proved to be a popular rhetorical move,
