Ok, one horny book about canals means he likes canals. Two horny books about canals means he LIKES canals. Is it a metaphor or something that I'm just missing?
The sign needs some adjustment - the machete looks stationary, but should instead have movement lines around it to give the impression of it being wildly flung into the middle distance
I'm not anti-capitalist, it's got serious problems with exploitation, etc. but those can be mostly be mitigated with regulations, making it a net positive.

I am VERY anti-whatever the fuck we have now. Even ignoring ethics, we can't even produce important stuff when needed at scale anymore.
It's frustrating trying to put my finger on exactly what is wrong without a business background.

To me it seems that since probably the 80s or early 90s, capitalism as a whole seems to have been completely taken over by finance rather than industry.

Companies exist to exist, output be damned
If you just wait a few months you can narrate the Age of Strife as it happens, kill two birds with one stone.
I was wondering when it was going to feel like a Brisbane summer, it's been pretty nice lately.

Then I walk outside and all of a sudden it's nearly 40C at 5pm and everything is apparently on fire, smoke everywhere.

So everything is back to normal then
Rods from God? Drop them in the ocean near surfing competitions.
Some of the SDI stuff from the 80s would be feasible to build now but still batshit crazy and mostly useless, but I would fund the shit out of them as pure entertainment for everyone on earth.

Xray lasers powered by a nuclear explosion? Aim that shit at the moon and see what happens.

Me 10 years ago: You know people are always calling political opponents Nazis even if they aren’t anything like Nazis, I wish that would stop

Monkey‘s paw:
To be fair, the financing of the Suez canal is pretty erotic all by itself.
I shudder to think about how the ass carapace would react in zero g
Jesus.

I can see using AI to trawl through a massive amount of data to highlight things for further human analysis and decision. That makes sense.

This though will end like the dumbest version of that scene in downfall, just waiting for Steiner's attack while the ai keeps agreeing and flattering
The lunch special comes with a side of phosgene
I'm going to speculate that thing that happened with his great grandson might have something to do with it.
...never been prouder of our...let's say lack of tact and diplomacy (that I censored on here as I'm assuming BlueSky has tighter language filters).

It cuts to the truth too - there is a lot of shit c***s out there, but race has nothing to do with it. There's a whole rainbow of shit c***s.
Saw a video over on Twitter of a racist influencer asking an guy in the UK if people from X group could ever be English.

The guy was Australian, and said:

"If you're a good c***, you're a good c***. If you're a shit c***, you're a shit c***".

That's our version of MLK's "I have a dream" speech...
They did, I still liked it though, the final was good.

Still can't figure out why there is so many strobe lights in the future.

It's not super well thought through OHS if the emergency lights start but epileptics like me can't evacuate because we're too busy having a seizure.

Well don't I feel stupid
Saw the finale last night and just need to restate this x100
I love the Alien movies, and am enjoying the Alien Earth TV show, but my epileptic arse wants to know why there are always so many strobing lights in the future, wtf!
You should definitely throw in a "schismatic" though
I like the rest, but heretic might be counter-productive because of how common 40k tropes are on the right - it's an entire social movement that can't understand satire, so think the fanatics with flamethrowers looking to burn heretics are meant to be the good guys.
Haven't watched the last one yet, but I really can't pin down how I feel about this show.

I'm enjoying it and want more, but there is an inordinate amount of most episodes that are either great ideas poorly executed, or terrible ideas executed fantastically.

Then some episodes are flat out great.
