Plausible Analytics has completed 7 full years! 🎉

Here's some stuff we did in year seven:

✅ Added 2.3K subscribers, stayed profitable.
✅ Added SSO, simpler setup for common measurements, scroll depth tracking, etc., making adoption easier.
✅ Got our own Wikipedia page & a feature in Wired.

A more elaborate answer to the question: Why we say no to investors?

👉 To stay loyal to our purpose and principles, not a board of directors

Our simple purpose is to give you easy + privacy-first analytics to help you measure your website performance and that ends there.

Testing a new Plausible installation template for GTM users to make setting up Plausible via GTM basically as easy as our standard install.

Privacy policies earlier used to read like forced confessions.

Privacy policies now read like "we are proud of our analytics provider"

Most people hide analytics. Many of our subscribers love to highlight it instead, not because they have to, but because they want to. We’re doing something right💜

Changed the design of the reports for the first time in years! And now they're more elegant and less cluttered.

This is part of our ongoing efforts to incorporate feedback from people who use Plausible every day, without ending up overwhelming the dashboard.

We hope you like it. 💜

At Plausible, many of us do 4-day workweeks whenever we want to – no questions asked.

This gives us more space for deep, meaningful work while keeping our work-life balance healthy.

We still make sure the product runs smoothly, support requests are always covered, & our subscribers can rely on us!

You can now ask us for your raw event-level data exports (Enterprise only).

This is ideal for data warehousing, internal analytics, compliance reporting, or other advanced use cases.

We’ll work with you to agree on...

📢 Now you can share just a portion of your stats with anyone on the web (like your freelance writers, affiliates, investors, etc.) using a shared link.

✅ Just create a new segment & switch on "Limit to segment" while creating a new shared link.

✅ Copy & share your private, secure link with anyone.

Happy new year everyone!

2025 was our best year so far as we continued growing and helping more and more people use privacy-friendly and easy-to-use analytics.

Looking ahead to 2026 and pumped up to continue improving Plausible every single day.

What would you love to see in Plausible this year?

Ending another year as the top choice for google analytics alternatives. 😍

📱Plausible on phone

Click anywhere on a row in the Top Pages report: get the external link icon (↗) to open that page in a new tab.

Tap the report entry itself: Filter your dashboard to see stats for that page instead.

Curious about your 2025 website year-in-review?

We don't need to build a special Wrapped for that, just press 'Y' on your dashboard to filter stats by year-to-date. 😄

Signs you had a good year:

Introducing: percentages in reports.

- They help you see trends
- They remove the need for mental math
- They're fun to use

Available in all reports now! No setup required.

Another useful update for our WordPress plugin users,

👉 Now you can see which pages visitors were on when they used your site search.

This helps you understand which pages naturally lead visitors to search, whether to find specific content or locate products.

Proud and grateful to be able to support the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation and seeing our logo up there!

Open-source has shaped Plausible from day one. We rely on it, we learn from it and we are glad to do our small bit to give back to open source wherever we can. 🫶

📣WordPress users, now you can track the views on different variations of your pages!

Eg., If your page is served in 2 languages like "URL?lang=en" & "URL?lang=de", you'll be able to see which version got how many views.

Just switch on Query parameters in the plugin settings & add the ones to track

How our Documentation aid in a smooth experience and less support tickets?

The Plausible Docs are treated as a product feature and an essential part of the overall brand experience.

Jumping from one site's dashboard to another is easier now. Each site in your account has its own number.

If you do not remember it, you can open the site selector from the top-left corner of any dashboard to check the number beside the site, then press it to jump straight to that dashboard.

Custom goals now work beautifully inside your consolidated view (i.e. a single dashboard that merges traffic & metrics from all your sites on Plausible).

Add the key actions that matter to you, like signups or form submissions, & see how those conversions perform across your entire network of sites

We tracked more than 6 Billion total pageviews and custom events in November alone, with a 100% uptime! 🙏

This is a new record for us. Thanks for trusting us, we're motivated to keep raising the bar higher and higher. More features and improvements are on the way!

Did you know our script automatically disables itself when running on localhost to reduce the recording of traffic from testing environments?
December 2, 2025 at 1:40 PM
Currently working on having a "percent" column in all the other reports as well (and not just the Devices/OS/Size report).

This will help you spot major traffic contributors fast, and without any mental calculations.
December 1, 2025 at 10:29 AM
The response to Consolidated View has been encouraging. 😍

We got multiple messages & hundreds of feature-views after announcing this.

A good time to remind those who missed this: it's already available on your "Sites" page if you're on the right plan, check it out and share your thoughts with us!
📢 You asked, we delivered!

If you have more than one site in Plausible, you can now quickly see the overview of traffic and other key metrics across all your properties on one dashboard! 😍

Just open your "Sites" page (where all your sites are listed) and find your Consolidated View on top.

Why GA Consent Mode falls into a legal grey area?

Consent Mode is Google’s way of letting GA4 keep working when people reject tracking. Instead of stopping working, GA4 sends small, cookieless pings & uses the behaviour of consenting users to predict what the others probably did (in Advanced mode).
