Yeah it was frustrating, have to hope it's just early season rustiness.
were upright and standing still or jogging on to the ball. Then there was the poor passing from scrum-half and the idiotic offloads that were just giving the receiver no chance. Some of those were similar to what my u10 team do.
Unfortunately there is no plan B when you're 5 metres out. Every team in the world bashes up until they either get over or create space and quick ball for the backs to attack.
VdF was the only one who looked like doing that as he consistently ran from deep , at pace and good angles. Everyone else
I dunno, we were held up over the line twice and had multiple attacking mauls that were ineffective. We gave away a 14 point swing with the intercept and very nearly had a 2nd one.
Any attack that gives you that many chances is working pretty well. It's the finishing that was the problem.
Our attack plan was fine, it got us multiple possessions their 22. It was execution that let us down and that was down to the scrum-half and forwards.
The result wouldn't have been any different if you swapped the outhalves but if you swapped Beirne for Snyman I could see us winning easily.
Crowley didn't control the game. He didn't have enough ball.
He kicked well but it was Leinsters poor attack that defined the game. Gibson-Park was the main culprit, his passing was poor, he was slow to get the ball out and he picked the wrong option too often just hitting static one out runners.
Ah forgot that f7 is now an empty square for the King.
I think white should sacrifice the LSB bring the Queen to h5, push the pawn to g6 and then bring in the Knight.
good enough. That would be a foolish use of resources.
Carbery was given every chance but his body let him down. He could have stayed and fought it out with Crowley at Munster but he wanted a change. It's the same situation Leinster had with Ross Byrne this year.
The pay thing is a red herring, would you want Munster to overpay players that aren't
Only if they're worth what you have to pay them. I'd say Healy got a much better offer from Scotland than Ireland could justify paying for a player of his level.
He can speak about it all he wants. He wasn't even good enough to be 1st choice for Edinburgh last year, international level for Ireland would only ever happen for him if there was an injury crisis.
He would be 3rd choice for Munster if he moved back now.
There's only one way to stop ageing.
Scrum and line-out were miles better than last week but our defense off chasing long kicks has been abysmal.
We looked much better in attack and the subs added some real punch but we need to start winning now.
They knew this was coming and while it might be a slightly smaller portion, it's now a much bigger pie because of the S.A. teams.
I don't think he has any interest in being fair.
One of the best players on the Lions , totally justified his selection as I knew he would.
