Agreed. IMHO if the player scoring the basket takes 3+ dribbles, that’s not an assist. Skip passes around the perimeter for a 3? Not an assist. Good basketball, but not an assist. Kick out from the post. Not an assist.
Reed wasn’t ready and Ime didn’t trust him. I remember when the Rockets extended JG and thought how unusual the contract was. It was a team friendly path to moving on from JG wrapped in a “make good” deal. When you’re 4 years in and your comp is “80% of Jordan Clarkson”, you’ve got to go.
