My fluid slider demo uses this technique: range input + output + datalist, all in a wrapper. Nothing more. All the JS does is update the `--val` on the wrapper.

#CSS is a reactive language that can be used to implement some of the logic of an app.
You can literally compute information gathered from the state of the DOM and produce new info by changing the styling, show/hiding elements, or adding pseudo elements.
