Invaders from Mars. Not quite there. It starts pretty strong, has nice creepy and disturbing atmosphere, the alien designs are cool, and the idea to bring the military in is a good one. But as a whole it doesn't work as well as I hoped it would. #FilmSky #MovieSky

Dark Star! This was a fun movie. An absurd, ridiculous sci-fi where everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. Malfunctioning technology is scary, especially when you have no escape from it. Great ideas, gags, music, and just a damn good movie overall. #FilmSky #MovieSky

Moby Dick! An epic tale of obsession, madness, and revenge. Of man against a god, the power of nature, and one huge white whale. Interesting, impressive, and with some great performances. The finale is spectacular, as is the end Ahab and his sailors meet. #FilmSky #MovieSky

Lions for lambs. An interesting movie, with great building blocks for important topics, however it did not commit strongly enough to its hard truths and criticism of the country. Instead, it mixed in some proud, patriotic pathos, and that's not what the film needed. #FilmSky #MovieSky

Rewatched. This time in theaters. I love this movie. The dark comedy thriller blend is such a ride. It goes too far, but that's the point. It's brilliant, beautiful, and twisted. #FilmSky #MovieSky

Longing... Interesting premise. Up and down execution - some good stuff, I like the concept and sentiment of it, but there are some questionable choices, and a bit too many plot cliches. It gets weird and tasteless at points too, even if the sentiment is meant to be nice. #FilmSky #MovieSky

I hate math in movie talk. Like counting minutes of screentime or the number of lines a character has. If written and executed well, a character can be in a film only briefly, and say very little, but you still feel their impact and importance. #FilmSky #MovieSky

Good News! This was a good film. Hijacking of a plane gone wrong, but in a funny, satirical way - on all sides - hijackers, soldiers, defense, "suits", government etc. It is both scary and ridiculous. Film is also beautifully shot. I liked it, had a lot to offer. #FilmSky #MovieSky

According to Sidney Lumet, the "Mad as Hell" speech was filmed in one and a half takes. Midway through the second take, Peter Finch abruptly stopped in exhaustion. Lumet was unaware of Finch's failing heart.

After a little break, I have finished my Star Wars rewatch. This film is amazing. From the opening, the story, the grand epic, the tragedy, the way too real power games and schemes, the action, visuals, score... This film is incredible. #FilmSky #MovieSky

I cried. Such a beautiful, tragic, emotionally devastating, and yet in the end fulfilling film. One that brings you peace, catharsis, and healing in its conclusion. Jessie Buckley is fantastic, and an absolute powerhouse. Chloé Zhao once again crafted a masterpiece. #FilmSky #MovieSky

The Outfit. A good crime movie. Revenge, powerful organized crime, and an underdog story in a way. How far will you go for payback? And what will you sacrifice? I liked it, was an interesting story, and Robert Duvall is great as always. #FilmSky #MovieSky

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. What a ride! A great thriller. It has it all - high stakes, impossible situations and demands, gripping narrative, great characters, performances, and score. A race against time, and a damn good movie. #FilmSky #MovieSky

The Panic in Needle Park! This was good. Interesting, sad, tragic, infuriating. Drugs, crime, addiction, and how that destroys people and their lives. Al Pacino is fantastic (duh), and Kitty Winn is amazing. Great setting and world to explore. #FilmSky #MovieSky

This was cool. A great thriller, more about tension and suspense, but with some action as well. Great cast, score, and overall direction and style. Final action may be one too many, but up until then, the film had me firmly in its strong grasp. #TheRip #MattDamon #BenAffleck #FilmSky #MovieSky
