I’m rather enjoying my First Amendment class this semester. So many levels and limits, but still with an overarching hallelujah of free expression.
Or not, hard to tell, I’m not really a good student anymore. But good enough maybe we shall see.

MeanCat, history’s greatest monster & my best nemesis, is back home from the vet. He’s ‘ok.’ He’s a bit loopy, too out of it to steal my wallet. Theresa made him his best Airbnb ever. He’s gonna be inside for a few days as the meds kick in. I’m glad he’s back to terrifying us all

I’m a doofus but I actually am a federally certified law enforcement training officer, as well as for the state of Georgia. Worked lots of crimes. I’m a doofus but I know that what the federal agencies are doing in our name is immoral, unethical, & illegal. So I speak out now.

History’s greatest monster, MeanCat, is at the vet. Crystals in his urine (common among orangey males) & constipated. I keep an eye on him. Hasn’t had this issue in years. Ugh. Has to spend the night there. I don’t like that. He’s my favorite nemesis ever, and SweetDog’s best friend ever, after all

Tired of blocking what we hope to be engagement-farming bots and not actual bloodthirsty adults. All I can say is what I try to live every day, that we all matter or none of us do. And the state has the responsibility to wield its power with wisdom, restraint, and empathy. Peace

Done with law school homework, prepared for work week & trials, so I’m making yet another batch of falafel. Lots of parsley/cilantro/mint, with chickpeas soaked for 8 hours. Pulse into fine-ish mixture. Let sit for 15 in fridge. This lets starch come out, better cohesion to fry.

So-called federal agents standing in the street enforcing local ordinances about pedestrian in the roadway etc is a clue they want this violence. They are creating it. They are killing people to feed their angry supporters & outrage everyone else. That’s it. That’s their point

Citizen videos again showing our government is lying. This is not a dangerous person intent on ambushing police. I know guns are dangerous, Jesus Christ I know that. But guns in holsters aren’t. And you can’t push for universal carry & then claim that carrying a gun warrants this

And Falafelooza 2026 is over. Ended with another batch of the best falafel I’ve ever had, with some of the best hummus I’ve ever had (I’ve had some good stuff) thanks to Kenji Lopez Alt’s recipes. I feel good about making these dishes now. Soooo good. Delicious. I’m pleased

Property law homework getting difficult, so I made Thai green papaya salad. Had to use the last two papayas, so obviously this takes precedent. Pound up garlic, peanuts, palm sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, and cherry tomatoes at the end. Pour over the shredded papaya. Mix. Add chili flakes
