A fun game with Fry is Proustian vocabulary bingo. **Sees some cages in a task** "Oh how positively grotesque and barbaric. What a piece of work is a man......"
I haven't seen any Roundtable session mention any of the killings and scant reference to tasks/shields. It's all based on "that actor's reaction didn't seem genuine". Then they say they are convinced it's person X or Y. .... Finally they vote for Z who just spoke up at the table!
Glad it's not only my brain that treats every sign or overheard phrase as a blankety blank quote that can only be completed with an 80s/90s TV or movie line!
FFS. Dropping litter, obviously. 1932 bylaws governing caffeine aren't taught in schools. So "ignorance of the law is no excuse"... Means we have to memorise all statutes ever! Plus can those drain monitors detain/arrest her and force her to provide ID?
Hope he's ok. Ours ate half a Xmas pudding off the counter and ended up in the emergency vet for 2 nights getting stomach emptied and filled with activated charcoal or something. Her greed will be the end of her!
This is like Brooker's "There are only seven basic plots". Bit for social media. "It's road tax!" "Actually is V.ED" "Emissions!!!" "What about diesel gate??' "The 1974 statute on road use clearly supercedes the original cobbled carriageway byelaw brought by Victoria" "Velocipedes originally..."
Same here in UK. Submit design. Promise 20% affordable homes. Build. Fess up you didn't meet quota or forgot. Pay fine. Make £££££ more than the fine Repeat.
When I lived with a friend after uni he used to go to MVC and pick random DVDs we hadn't heard of (Cannibal Holocaust, Suspiria spring to mind). But he brought home Night of the Hunter once and it really stood out. Finished at 10.30pm then we went to Snobs... (So cultured)
Which is why I voted for them. I didn't vote them in to panic about what polls say Reform will do in 4 years and go implementing Reform policies instead of what Labour campaigned on.
I saw a post of BBC news with the chyron half way up the screen, rather than at the bottom. Is it really possible that the bit of CSS or whatever equivalent code or template runs on Aws but the rest was working fine? Even CloudFront didn't make sense a surely that would have affected all of it.
