Oh yeah, I forgot that this WIP of Chief existed and never thought to share it. Kinda started drawing this while watching a pool review vid in a call. Wonder if I should pick this back up again to get it out of the way?

Part of me does, too. Personally, I don't even make it a habit to go to Mcdonalds. But, I still remember the way it used to look like, full of colors and wacky stuff that made it distinctly part of its brand identity. Now it's all constructed to be easily replaceable by a different brand, if needed.

Anyway, thank you for coming to this tired ramble of mine. Now I shall conk out while I let this sit here for people to see.

Consumers deserve better than such easy low brow content, why do the same with designs, hmm? Why stoop to the bare minimum? Because it’s “safe”? Sounds lame, my dude.

I didn’t exactly graduate college with a degree in graphic design just to only make simple & easy designs, I took those dang classes with the intent of learning what was possible with the tools and techniques they taught me how to use in order to create professional designs.

Some of these companies should have MORE than enough moolah to fund such wacky and fun designs for literally anything from hard working artists, would it really kill a corporation to get more artsy with even the small stuff? C’mon…

I dunno, I’m maybe starting to yearn even more for things to look like they have personality as opposed to resorting to over simple & flat designs, something that just feels….like an after-thought. I don’t care that it’s all meant to be efficient or whatever, sometimes that’s bullshit.

Bit of a strange thought to have at 4AM, but am I the only one who kinda missed the frutiger aero vibes back in the early 2000’s? It’s not normally an aesthetic that I think about very often, though I simply can’t help but reminisce the Wii and its style.
