Maria Steen is really trying to get herself over the line…
Earlier @gavreilly.com reported that a letter signed by 70+ independent councillors from across the country to remaining independent Oireachtas Members urging them to sign her nomination papers. Some senators aren’t budging though per RTE.

The Independent Gareth Sheridan campaign has “mathematically“ come to an end. Speaking outside County Hall in Tullamore he said "We gave it our best shot. We got two nominations, really encouraging. We had a pathway, and unfortunately, the pathway and the plan didn't work out.

PDP Leader Richard Boyd Barrett announced on RTE’s “Today with Claire Byrne” that he has been diagnosed with Throat Cancer, saying that he will be away from work for a few months for treatment saying that radiotherapy and chemotherapy will begin next week. #politics #ireland
