Just tired of bait and switch that keeps happening for toll roads and other nonsense that always tends to start innocent. Like its states prohibited new construction. but only specifies the New Supply fund itself. They can just make a new one and bypass.

Again, I'm in complete agreement with you. Most local Texas towns typically are using bond measures to expand capacity and maintenance.

But the trend as of late has been stripping local govs of power to regulate ANYTHING themselves. Nuisance laws, power generation, and now water systems.

Oh absolutely yes, I agree.

It's just that I do not in any capacity trust the current people in power to not be doing it for nefarious reasons.

Why does it have to be a constitutional amendment? Why now?

Hiiiighly suspicious that suddenly now there's an amendment that gives the water repairs budget discretionary spending rights.

I don't trust it, especially with the data center rush and how they drink as much water as entire towns each.

Early voting for SEVENTEEN constitutional amendments has begun

It includes things like more tax breaks for trust funds, cementing that children have zero rights, water funding for dara centers.

But also exceptions for military widows.

Please vote. These all matter.
