True, but you can have principles and honour even if the principles are horrifying and the honour is insane. It's the pretending to have them and then tossing them aside for political gain/expediency which is being discussed here and the sin we are currently denouncing.

It's been pretty clear since 2020 which conservatives viewed principle and honour as both being personal values and ideals to adhere to, (Liz Cheney, Bill Kristol, etc) Vs the ones who saw it is a tool to virtue signal when convenient and toss aside when it got in the way.
