Linton High Street & a pair of posties. The card was posted in 1909 to Master Palmer in Cranmer Road, Forest Gate: Have you used Pear's Soap? If that fails try chisel & hammer. Grandma wants to know if you are helping pick the blackcurrants.

Betty Alden's house in Lower Compton, Rhode Island. The card was sent to Providence: "Weather fine except for five minutes. Here with Nat on joyride."
Betty/Elizabeth was the daughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins, who had travelled to America aboard the Mayflower.

The Old Oak, Headingley (the Shire Oak). The tree was felled in 1941 and part of it was carved by Mouseman Robert Thompson into 'Madonna & Child'. The Skyrack Inn survives. The postcard was sent in 1912 to Worcester.
