This ikebana created for a wedding brunch was made entirely of desert #NativePlants: Washingtonia filifera, Cleomella arborea, Nicotiana obtusifolia, Larrea tridentata, Senna covesii, Simmondsia chinensis, Justicia californica, Gaillardia pulchella, Yucca schidigera, & Chilopsis linearis. 🌿🌱

With bright blooms, bold textures, & a little desert magic, this sculptural bouquet was designed to reflect the whimsy of wildflowers, the romance of the day, & the desert landscape.

Visited a new (to me) native plant nursery today. What makes them awesome? They grow the plants on site, everything is labeled, clear pricing, open to the public, and the owner actually knows her plants! Bonus: a friendly dog that insists you pet her.
