I’m finally getting the hang of pouring glaze for these big pots! I can’t dip them like I normally do because they are bigger than my buckets. #pottery #ceramics

It’s just the turquoise glaze interacting with the iron slip!

My favorite piece from my latest glaze firing. It’s different from my usual work, but I’m really digging the iron dots over the iron slip design! I love how it runs on the bottom most portion and inside, and how my turquoise glaze becomes almost opalescent #pottery #ceramics

Thank you! I’m hoping the trip will be worth it. At least I’ll get out of the cold!

Freshly fired mugs! They will be coming with me to Florida for my first out of state art fairs. I’ll be in Sarasota Feb 7-8 and Gulfport Feb 14-15. #mugs #pottery #ceramics

Yea my clear liner glaze ends up brown too, which is what I sort of expected. I think it would look really nice unglazed so you get the expected color

Oh really?? I wonder why 🤔 it doesn’t seem like my glazes have any issues with this clay body. It’s SiO2’s black porcelain.

First time trying black porcelain! It ended up coming out brown where the glaze broke. It’s definitely a different vibe than my usual white porcelain, and the glaze looks way different. #pottery #ceramics

I’m taking a studio art class at the local community college. It’s a really nice way to work on some other forms of art! This was our ribbon drawing assignment. I think it came out looking pretty interesting! #drawing #flowers

Dogwood vase! I’m going to be trying something besides slip trailing to finish it up 🤫 it will be very similar, though. I’m excited to continue working on this nature inspired series! #pottery #flowers #ceramics
