I love showing ppl Mhaverick too but he's kindda a coin toss on his moods. Even when he's not being a food motivated madman he's just kindda a jerk some days. Go figure the most handsome one is the one with Big Moods

Sam is usually the first thing they see tho, since he's in the living room. But when the snakes are mentioned they always wanna see them too 😏 I enjoy showing ppl a different side of reptiles

I still find it kindda funny that when I encounter ppl afraid of snakes it's always the guys who won't touch / hold / get close. This one guys wife was super afraid but she held my ball python and was even kindda petting and awed by him. Her poor husband was like noooo I'm good 8)

Besides being terrorized as a kid lol I did get an appreciation for woodwork and preserving things that another person worked hard on. It's art y'know? Just a different medium. Like keeping part of someone who put their soul into what they were making

I kindda enjoy fixing destroyed furniture lol but man it's definitely a job where you need better tools for better results. I also don't have somewhere to do staining and stuff here but I'd really like to do that at some point.

I do miss the ability to turn off shared posts like the old bird site had. I like being informed but lordt,, sometimes it's too much. I still wanna hear from the person I followed but the overflow of violent subject matter they repost is overwhelming.

I feel a bit bad but not entirely, I'm ruthless about muting and blocking things / ppl here. Mostly I mute unless it's something I genuinely find super disgusting 8') I do wish there was a way to curate things a bit better so I don't have to mute so many ppl but it works I suppose.

They also talked about claiming planets for our dumbass country 💀 Space should not be something people can just "claim" like that. Not to mention it's absolutely ridiculous to think that anyone can make such a claim in the first place.

I want to say I don't understand how science gets so shafted when it's real events but then again lol I think my country is the definition of stupid the majority of the time.

Reading about Kessler syndrome and remembering when I mentioned at thanksgiving what we send into orbit should be more regulated and... the right wing fam basically was like NAH that's lib propaganda. Like?? It's literally a real concern, gestures at recent events.

Top that off with them putting acrylic very poorly over the grout in the bathroom lol it's so bad. It really shouldn't be legal to mass flip and rent places out

Pained sigh. The place we're living got the landlord special so badly. I just discovered the walls are actually cedar planks under the paint and they just filled the seams to hide it. That hurts me

On the Destiny topic, I've been trying to convince Io to let me turn one of the living room walls into a tribute to DSC and Clovis Bray. Listen I just think it would be cool to have one of the symbols!! Like the one at Atraks. I initially wanted to do the Vow mural but that.. would be hard as fuck

Well hopefully the neighbors don't think my partner was stabbed or something lol She went to get something on the back porch in the dark and I guess we have a northern flicker staying out there. When she turned on the light it looked at her and she has a patented murder scream she does when startled
