Rika's name in Japanese is Chili (チリ) and Clodsire's is Dooh (ドオー). Together that sounds kind of like Chili Dog (チリドッグ). I think the two would dress up like this for Halloween.
#pokemon #pun #fanart
Illustration. Rika is smiling, down on one knee, and gesturing with an open hand towards Clodsire. She is wearing a hot dog vendor hat and apron on top of her usual business casual outfit. The Pokémon Clodsire, a round brown salamander the size of a large dog, looks happy with its mouth wide open in a smile. It is wearing a chili dog costume that makes its body look like a hot dog, with buns to its sides and chili topping above. A line of mustard runs from its back down to its head. The top corners of the illustration are decorated with kidney beans and slices of green serrano pepper.

Red-winged Blackbirds are a sign of Spring in these parts. The male's "conk-la-reeee" call is one of my favorite birdsongs.

A male Red-winged Blackbird stands in profile atop a green tree during sunset. In the background, a large fluffy cloud is visible in the pink sky. The bird has bright red feathers on its shoulders, with a thin line of yellow feathers underneath. The rest of the bird is black. It is facing to the left.

Yay! I really enjoy getting to see Spellomancer's animations. Personal favorite so far is the raven character.

These poses are so much fun!

Look who I ran into while on a walk:
Image of a Pileated Woodpecker pecking at a bare tree branch. The bird is about the size of a crow and has a black body, a black beak, a white face with a black stripe, and a bright red crest on its head.

Ooo, that's a good one!
practicalpigeon.bsky.social
Yes! Kingfishers are so cool. Do you have a favorite species?
practicalpigeon.bsky.social
What a lovely encounter! Pileated woodpeckers are so cool. They can also make some wild nosies.
practicalpigeon.bsky.social
Oh my gosh the plushies for Kichik, Bildit, and Axolati are SO cute!
practicalpigeon.bsky.social
Woohoo, congratulations to you and your crew! That's awesome news.

Enjoying the lovley sense of warmth in this illustration.

I really enjoy how you handled the neck pattern on this quail. The triangles have this great visual rhythm to 'em.

I had so much fun playing the Switch port of moon: Remix RPG Adventure from @oniongames.bsky.social in 2020. This is from back then. Yoshida the talking bird is a favorite. #moon_rpg #fanart

Looking forward to playing Stray Children!
Color illustration of Yoshida the bird leading the player character through a countryside dotted with white flowers and lush grass. It's daytime, they pair are walking to the left, and mountains are visible in the distance. The player character's body is invisible. They are wearing a long green cap with a curling tip, and white trim around where their head would be. They wear white gloves, an orange vest with a circular blue closure, and a pair of round brown ankle boots. Yoshida the bird holds their gloved hand with one of his spindly black arms, pointing forward with the other. He has a confident expression. Yoshida's beak is dark orange, and his head is yellow with a tall green plume on top. His arms stick out of the blue and yellow bands of color on his neck. The rest of his bird body is purple. His bird feet are light orange, with 3 toes on each foot.

Rock (& Roll) Ptarmigan! #art #bird #pun
Color illustration of a Rock Ptarmigan yelling into a microphone. This chicken-like bird is facing to the left, wearing a dark leather jacket, and holding the mic stand with its foot. The ptarmigan is in winter plumage: bright white, feathered feet, a red spot like an eyebrow above its eye, a black eye stripe, and black outer tail feathers. Behind the bird's head is an energy burst with pointy edges, in yellow with a similar orange shape layered underneath. The background is green. Text on the top right reads "ROCK & ROLL", text on the bottom reads "PTARMIGAN".

Made this #fanart after I played FRANKEN by @splendid.land back in 2022. Really enjoyed the humor and all the funny characters. The sprite work in battle was a real treat.

Play FRANKEN here: splendidland.itch.io/franken

Looking forward to Amazing Treasure Valley!
The cast of FRANKEN face off against moon god Eclypson. Bunko raises their sword, cape billowing dramatically. Condor jumps in with a pair of knives and a smug expression. Great Wizard Troab readies her magic. Balgus cheers while HEAVEN'S KNIGHT prays.

Frankenstein looks off into the distance, shedding tears and smiling while inexplicably sporting Leiji Matsumoto-style eyelashes.

And just who is that guy in grey, lounging out of reach on Eclypson's hand?

Glad to see this piece again! I really enjoy both the color palette and the sense of motion with how the sea of dogs flows around the central ornamented figure.

If you see this, post a bird! 🦆

Here's an illustration of some Hooded Mergansers I saw the other day. They start showing up in my area when the weather turns cold. #art #bird
Color illustration of a pair of Hooded Mergansers, a type of duck. They are on a calm purple-blue lake in a wood. The trees in the background are a mix of bare, and ones covered in yellow, orange, and brown leaves. The male duck is facing to the right and centered in frame, with his bright yellow eye looking at the viewer. He has a black head with a raised round crest that has a white marking on it. His body is black and white, with orange underparts. The female duck is in the midground to the left of the male, facing to the right. She has a round orange crest and a brown body. Her beak is open. The ducks' reflections are visible in the water.

The shapes in this have such a nice flow! Enjoying the brilliance of the colors too.

@insertdisc5.com Just preordered the artbook! Been looking forward to it, "In Stars and Time" is a favorite. Stellar character writing and art direction.
#fanart #instarsandtime
Greyscale illustration of the cast from In Stars and Time. Siffrin, Isabeu, Bonnie, Mirabelle, and Odile stand upon a patchwork brick floor, floating in a black void. In the background underneath the bricks, Loop can be seen on the left and the King on the right. Siffrin has a depressed expression and looks away from their group, towards Loop. Isabeau is clenching his fists and looks towards Siffrin with concern. Bonnie is brandishing their frying pan, looking towards the King with anger. Mirabelle has her rapier drawn, and looks towards the King with trepidation. Odile looks down with an impassive expression at the book she is holding. Loop has their hands clasped and eyes closed, as if in prayer. The King is crying, face obscured by clenched gauntlets and tendrils of hair.

Studies from pre-production on "Where Can I Live?" Tried to capture the essence of what makes warblers look...warbler-y. 😆

Big shoutout to the Macaulay Library and eBird, great sources for reference photography.
Study sketches in black on white background of bird species Prothonotary Warbler in a variety of poses.

My short film "Where Can I Live?" follows a small yellow bird (Prothonotary warbler) that runs afoul of human impacts on its environment. It's 1 of 8 shorts featured in animation anthology Things Took A Turn: At The End Of The World.
