Mario Kart World Update 1.4.0 Adds Custom Items to Item Rules
Nintendo has revealed the patch notes for Mario Kart World update 1.4.0, which is available now on Nintendo Switch 2. Mario Kart World update 1.4.0 introduces Custom Items to item rules, a music volume setting, "Restart" and "Next Race" options to the Pause Menu for "VS Race" in single player, and so much more. Like previous updates, update 1.4.0 applies several bug fixes as well.

Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo believes the Steam demo for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter had an "enormous impact" on sales, according to an interview with Dengeki Online. So far, the response to Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter has been "extremely positive," and Kondo notes that the demo was the number one reason for purchases made on Steam in one of Falcom's user surveys.
