Imposter syndrome no longer lives here.

I’ve qualified myself, through fire, failure, and showing up again and again.

And what I don’t know?
I’ll learn.

That’s enough for me.

At 38, I don’t hustle, I honor my energy.

I don’t chase speed, I build for sustainability.

I’m not proving anything.

I’m becoming someone. The most powerful version of myself.

And that’s the shift.

I thought being a stay at home mom set me back professionally.

Now I know: motherhood sharpened my emotional intelligence, adaptability, and leadership in ways no job ever could.

Never underestimate what home taught you.

I hired a lawyer to negotiate my first big contract.
Mid-meeting, she asked them for a job.

I was left unprotected, underpaid, and over-exposed.
Lesson: being the first is brave. But being informed is power.

At 18, I built a national talk show with no roadmap, no mentor, just raw belief.

I hadn’t learned to second-guess myself yet.
And that made me dangerous, in the best way.
Sometimes your biggest asset is not knowing you can’t.

My entrepreneurial journey:

18: Build fast. Hide tired. Outcome-focused.
28: Hustle hard. Push through. Imposter syndrome.
38: Now I lead from presence, not performance.

Show up real, not perfect. Build with value, grow with humanity.

Before you chase another productivity hack, ask:

Am I avoiding rest because I’m afraid of who I’ll be without the rush?

Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from doing more,
It comes from being still long enough to hear yourself.
Paused my TV career at 23 to be a stay-at-home mom. Thought I was falling behind.

Now I know:
Those years weren’t a gap,
they were a masterclass in:

→ Organisation
→ Resilience
→ Networking
→ Adaptability
→ EQ

Motherhood didn’t pause growth.
It powered it.
What learning to code and being a mom have taught me:

You don’t need to be perfect to get started.
You just need to show up, stay curious & keep building, one line at a time.

Motherhood taught me resilience.
Coding is teaching me reinvention.

From TV broadcasting & art 🎨 to self-taught computer science student - learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript & Python. Just got accepted into Stanford’s free #CodeInPlace! 2025 is full of beautiful surprises. Am celebrating every step of this journey.

Days 4–6 of my coding journey 👩🏽‍🏫 Built a bakery menu using HTML & CSS. CSS felt fun at first - until I had to recall the steps. Big lesson? Understanding comes from DOING. Practice reveals gaps. Spent 2 days filling those gaps. Recall matters!!! #freecodecamp

Day 3 of learning to code! 🐶 Built a dog adoption page to practice HTML. Realized recall is key - what I forgot, I now understand better:) #100DaysOfCode
Day2 of my coding journey! Started learning to code with #freecodecamp & today I completed the "Learn Basic CSS by Building a Cafe Menu" project. CSS is already clicking more for me than HTML! I’m excited to keep learning & improving. If you're also diving into coding/have any tips, let’s connect!
