#genechandler reached the #hot100 27 times over 18 years, making it into the #top40 only 5 times. #getdown isn’t one of those times, which surprised me because it seemed to be everywhere in Baltimore in #1979. Anyhoo, I wore it out and it still makes me wiggle. #chisoundrecords

The story line would probably get them cancelled nowadays, but in #1964 #ragdoll was No. 1 for 2 weeks. It’s a stripped down arrangement coming from #bobcrewe, a man who often included the kitchen sink & the dishwasher in his productions. #frankievalliandthefourseasons #phillipsrecords
