It is noteworthy that not all those who are working in the stores are employees and therefore not factored in. So for example, ancillary workers who are employed by an agency and almost entirely on minimum wage do not feature in the calculation

Labour lacks any original thought. In the last week we’ve seen Mandatory ID cards rehashed and now reintroducing tribunal costs – if the employment rights bill wasn’t a big enough joke it is now removing access to any benefits that the Act may bring
