Proudly serving the Massachusetts 7th.
Donald Trump lied when he promised to lower costs.

And as shoppers hit the stores today, they're seeing higher costs for the goods they want to purchase.

His economic policies are failing us. Billionaires are wealthier than ever. And working people are footing the bill.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thinking of our neighbors with an empty seat at the dinner table.

Those with loved ones abducted & deported from their families.

Those we lost due to gun violence, mass incarceration, & more.

A more just America is possible, if we fight for it.

I'm horrified and praying for the two National Guard members shot in Washington, DC, and their loved ones.

No family should endure the trauma of gun violence, especially so close to Thanksgiving.

Haiti is grappling with an unspeakable humanitarian crisis that is worsening daily.

To deport 350,000 of our neighbors back there is unconscionable & could be a death sentence.

The Trump Administration must reverse course and stop operating with cruel disregard for human life.

I’ve long championed Baby Bonds as an investment in our kids' future and a tool to close the wealth gap.

When the Admin issues guidance on Trump Accounts, equity must be the goal.

That’s why I’m calling on Secretary Scott Bessent to ensure our most vulnerable families aren't ignored.

Remember, this is not just about sticking it to Trump or seeing how Republicans voted. This about real people. I was in a meeting with Rep Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) today and she said the survivors told her “we are the Epstein Files and we want to be released.” THAT’S what this is about.

CDFIs keep urban & rural communities afloat and help everyday people build wealth.

When we protect CDFI deposits, we support housing, childcare, healthcare, & more for communities and small businesses.

If Republicans cared about lowering costs & growing our economy, they'd stop attacking CDFIs.

The Republican govt shutdown is over, but Trump is still leaving our families in the cold.

With over 150,000 households in MA dependent on LIHEAP to pay their home heating bills in the winter, I'm joining @trahan.house.gov & nearly 100 Dems demanding Trump release these funds NOW.

Over 320,000 Black women have been pushed out of the workforce.

This is a red flag for our economy thanks to Trump’s mass firings & attacks on DEIA.

I convened Black women leaders to discuss how to fight back and save Black women, Black families, & Black futures.

Unemployment among Black women is now at 7.5% — rising for the third straight month.

I'm in Boston today to sound the alarm and discuss how we can address the impact of this crisis in Massachusetts and beyond.

Since taking office, Trump has attacked everything except the cost of living—& our communities are paying the price.

Folks in Massachusetts have paid $709 in higher prices due to his failed policies.

I’m fighting to lower costs & build a just economy where everyone can thrive.

Setti Warren was a loving son, brother, husband, & father who I had the privilege of working with for years.

He was always ready with thoughtful counsel, and radiated life & optimism.

He had so much life left to live, milestones to experience, hearts to touch, & lives to change.

While Republicans choose chaos, we choose community:

Using every tool available to feed our neighbors and meet their most basic needs.

Thank you Catholic Charities of Boston, United Way of Massachusetts Bay, and Shirley's Pantry for your partnership in doing just that.

Black and brown folks shouldn't have to whitewash their homes to get a fair shake in the appraisals process.

This National Housing Day, I'm introducing a bill with @warnock.senate.gov to confront this injustice and end systemic bias in home valuations.

UPDATE: Sergio is on his way back to America to be with his family where he belongs.

He should have never been unlawfully kidnapped & deported.

This is why we fight for our neighbors and stand up for their right to due process.
Sergio Mejia's deportation is a brazen violation of his right to due process.

Despite having his immigration case pending, he was stolen from his three children and unlawfully deported.

The Trump Admin. must return him NOW and stop trampling on our constitutional rights.

Republicans are doing everything they can to attack our healthcare and reproductive freedom.

🚨The unemployment rate for Black women is now 7.5%.

These damning numbers confirm that under Trump, Black women face a crisis of disproportionately high unemployment.

He must end his racist & reckless economic policies that are harming our economy.

And the Fed must act to address this crisis.
Today’s jobs report shows Black women’s unemployment is 7.5%, rising for the 3rd month in a row.

Economic security isn’t about how many jobs exist—it’s about who has access to them. As we pointed out in September, Black women are too often still shut out: www.demos.org/blog/one-num...
